But what is gpg4o?

Encrypting, decrypting, signing and verifying emails – simply and easily. The email encryption system is based on the OpenPGP standard and can be used as an add-in for Microsoft Outlook 2013/2016/2019®. As a user-friendly tool, gpg4o integrates into existing user interfaces without requiring further programming.
The asymmetric procedure uses key pairs to securely send e-mails. This means that only the sender and recipient have access to the content. You can get an overview of the technical functions here.
